Saint Andrew Youth (SAY)
and Chi Rho

Sunday School
Youth in grades 6, 7 and 8 meet every Sunday from 9:3O to 1O:3O a.m. in the Youth Room. Grades 9 through 12 meet in the Mission Room, located on the lower level. Youth Sunday School teachers approach lessons with the goal of relating Biblical lessons to daily life.

Sunday Evening Fellowship
SAY (9-12) and Chi Rho (6-8) gather (almost) every Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. There’s something for everyone — fun & games, singing & supper, and lively discussion.

Leadership in the Congregation
Youth are active in church leadership: providing musical leadership, serving in worship, teaching younger children in the nursery and Children’s Church. The youth prepare and lead both an evening worship service to celebrate the Advent season and a Sunday morning worship service every spring.

Connections to the Larger Church
Youth participate in the life of our denomination, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), through leadership on the regional youth cabinet, regional youth retreats and Tall Oaks Camp experiences.

Missions
Our youth are active with mission projects each year. Local efforts include support for the Migrant Farmworker Project, Temporary Lodging for Children and Families (TLC), and the Micah Ministry of Independence Boulevard Christian Church. In addition, each summer SAY embarks on a week-long mission trip to offer helping hands to sister churches or charitable organizations.
Chi Rho also takes a summer mission trip of three to four days, for service and fun!
